Olympic Distance Triathlon Clinic - Presented by 2XU
This clinic is for beginners who hope to finish their first sprint distance triathlon and are looking to build on their training for an Olympic Distance race. The clinic is designed for an athlete competing in the Vancouver Triathlon on September 1st. If you have ever wondered if you could do an Olympic distance triathlon this clinic is for you! You need access to a bike and be somewhat comfortable riding. But we don't mind if it is a road bike or a mountain bike. It is common to be leery of riding on roads and we aim to teach bike handling skills and rules of the road to help quell many of these fears. For swimming, you should be able to swim 100 meters or 4 lengths of a 25 m pool continuously and be able to run around 5km at a comfortable jog. In 16 weeks we will take you through all the necessary steps to complete your first Olympic Distance Triathlon! You will have four coached workouts a week, a program calendar, social nights, discounts on products from NSA and much more! Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, non threatening place for people to discover triathlon.
