Salt Of Life Salt of Life is hand-mined in the Himalayas, where there is an ancient deposit of unique salt created over 500 million years ago (our literature says 250 million but it’s actually pre-Cambrian, before complex life). At that time, the oceans were rich with a mineral mixture that exactly corresponds to our bodies today. In other words, the balance of trace minerals (as many as 84) in that salt is an ideal match for our health, making it a 100% natural electrolyte replenisher. This is superior to the chemical beverages on the market today, and lasts much longer -- many months. If used correctly, in a glass of water daily per instructions, or after a workout, you can give your body back what you sweat out. Not just table salt (sodium chloride) but the many other salts that play an important role in body function and performance. The tongue is a very good detector of nutrients, which is why Himalayan pink salt tastes so rich to the tongue compared to average table salt or sea salt. Due to millions of years of heat and pressure, the crystal structure of this salt is also different, more like snowflakes than cubes. In the Himalayas, the salt appears buried in columns sunken under the rock, and these columns are just now making their way to the surface. After millions of years, rock literally moves aside to let the salt bubble up through the mountain. Each rock of this salt has been carefully hand-mined, using no explosives, and handled to strict standards ensuring that nothing has been removed or added. When you make and use Sole, you are drinking from the primordial ocean, and you are literally replenishing with minerals that haven’t replenished any other organism for well over 250 million years!
