Thanks Laura.....tough day for me (again) with cold and at 1.5 miles reinjured calf but I gutted it out for almost 25 more miles and finished in Chicago. Time wasn't a concern. Running on one leg, altering my stride and finishing (cant walk well today) was an interesting experience!

Had a lot of fun with Ruedi and Irene (who ran with her brother from Mexico City). It was amazing to see supporters 5-6 rows deep cheering you on. 1.5 million people in Chicago. It was chilly, flat, scenic in many senses, and really well organized- amazingly so.  The one thing I will leave with having never ran with that many people was the weirdness of when on the odd occasion you ran where there were no fans.....it was almost eery quiet. Just the flop flop of shoes.

Ruedi ran a 3:55 ......strong run.
