Ironman Coeur d’Alene Training Clinic
Knock it out of the park with our 2012 Ironman Training Clinic!
Ironman is the ultimate challenge for triathletes. In 2011 we supported 12 athletes to finish Ironman Canada in Penticton, and for 2012 we’re switching our focus to Ironman Coeur d’Alene in Idaho.
Starting on January 4th, this 25 week clinic builds strength, speed and endurance. We strive to foster community and teamwork in the clinic, ensuring that you feel supported and challenged. Our network of health-specialists are also on hand to help you with any knocks or strains that you pick up along the way. Our goal is to have you in the best condition of your life for the race on June 24th.
With a total of 6 group workouts per week this clinic ensures that you stay fit and motivated, build strength and speed, and achieve your goals come race day. You don’t have to be an experienced triathlete to take part in this clinic, but there are some minimum requirements for safety reasons:
- Comfortable swimming ten lengths in the pool
- Ride bike for 60 minutes at effort
- Run 40 minutes continuously
- Run – Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 6pm @ NSA
- Bike – Wednesday outside rides 6pm @ NSA, or inside spin at 7pm; Saturday rides 8am sharp at Delany’s Park Royal
- Swim – Sunday evenings 5pm @ Harry Jerome Rec Centre
- Professional coaching by experienced and qualified coaches.
