If you’re looking to complete your first Sprint Triathlon, or improve upon your current time, this clinic is for you!
In 15 weeks we will take you through all the necessary steps to complete a Sprint Distance Triathlon, OR improve upon your previous efforts at this distance! You will have three coached workouts a week, a program calendar, social nights, discounts on products from NSA and much more! PLUS Clinic Gift, TBA (worth more than a bag of pucks and less than a new house)
Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, non-threatening place for people to discover triathlon.
Our philosophy is to help achieve individual goals through increased self confidence while enjoying the balanced and healthy life style that is triathlon.
Training clinic schedule
- Rides – Saturdays at 8am sharp, locations TBA, usually lasting one hour
- Swims – Sundays evenings at Harry Jerome Rec Centre on Lonsdale
- Runs – Tues & Thurs 6pm at North Shore Athletics
There will be a wrap up party after the race. The cost of this exceptional triathlon clinics will be $350. This is an incomparable clinic that offers 5 core workouts per week for four months. No other clinic offers this extensive of a package that will enable you to complete your first sprint triathlon with knowledge and confidence. This is a must for the beginner triathlete.

About your coaches
Laura Jones
Laura comes from a competitive swimming background, having swum for SFU during her university days. She is no stranger to swimming at the national level and has held NAIA records as proof! But most importantly Laura is dedicated to making the swim in triathlon fun! She has the ability to make everyone love swimming, and uses her excellent teaching skills (her day job) to educate us all on how to swim ‘correctly’.
Laura is a certified Level 1 NCCP triathlon coach, she completed the theory in 2004 and continues to educate through NSA triathlon clinics.
Keith Nicoll
Keith, the owner of North Shore Athletics, has a long history of coaching and much insight into triathlon training through his many years of competing and coaching in the sports of triathlon and running. Keith has his NCCP level 2 coaching certificate.
Emily Weeks
Canadian National Team member Emily Weeks will be coaching this clinic. Emily says:
Originally l came from a wrestling and running background but after a elbow injury taking me out of contact sports. I decided to Pursue triathlon and running. I have been running for Douglas College for the past 2 years… And triathlon for the past couple of years… I have recently made and competed on the Canadian long course triathlon team.. But am looking to focus my sights on the Olympic distance… I have my NCCP level 2 coaching certificate and LOOOVE to come out and introduce people to what I love to do! See in the water, on the road or on the track!!!
